Terms & Conditions

 IMPORTANT NOTE: Unforeseen escalation in fuel prices, new taxes/levies on hotels and transportation services or any hikes in entrance fees. Any large tax hikes and new levies shall be payable extra and shall be billed accordingly with reasonable prior notice.

CANCELLATION CHARGES:

• 7 days or less – 100% cancellation charge.
• Between 7 days and 14 days – 50% cancellation charges or the equivalent of the first two days charges depending on the programme and period of stay.
• Above 15 days – No cancellation charges provided no commitment or advances are made to 3rd parties.

OTHER CONDITIONS:

• Optional excursions and additional services could be provided for which we will charge additionally.
• Visits to wild life parks will be at client’s own risk.
• Safari vehicles (none air-conditioned) available are very basic with basic insurance cover (not comprehensive as in the case of vehicles used for tours).

SPECIAL ROOM REQUESTS: Where Special requests Eg : Room locations, Interconnecting /Adjacent rooms, Double/Twin beds, Smoking rooms & nonsmoking rooms etc are an important factor in the choice of holiday, please advise us when the booking is made. We will pass on your request to the hotel but cannot guarantee that it will be accommodated.

GENERAL REMINDER:

• The programme is based on the availability of the hotel rooms at the time of forwarding the quotation. As such rooms are subject to availability at the time of booking. Due to high occupancy/demand, the hotels accept only the confirmed bookings.
• Once our proposal is accepted, the final confirmation will be forwarded along with the relevant overnight stays and itinerary. We will do our best to book the mentioned hotels or alternate similar category hotels.
• In case of any price fluctuations due to change of hotels, we will send a revised quotation.

HOTEL RULES AND REGULATIONS:

•  The official check-in time at all hotels will be 1200hrs – 1400 hrs (depend on the hotel).
• The official check-out time at all hotels will be 1100hrs.

 PROHIBITION OF ALCHOL: Please note alcohol will not be served in public areas in hotels and restaurants during religious holidays.

 ATTIRE: 

• Visitors of both genders have to wear decent clothing to cover the body appropriately when visiting religious places and shorts and sleeveless tops are not acceptable. This rule is strictly adhered to at all religious sites especially the Sacred Bo Tree and Stupas in Anuradhapura and the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy.
• Visitors should remove hats, caps, shoes and slippers when entering buildings and sites with religious monuments. Most of these places have a secure facility at the entrance for visitors to leave behind shoes and slippers for a very small fee.

• Booking is Non-Refundable/Amendable after confirmation.
• Hotel Rooms/ Transfers/ Tours / Rates are subject to Availability at the time of booking.
• Should any of the following change a new quote will have to be provided: date of travel, number of Pax, accommodation type, duration of stay, and vehicle size.
• Rates are subject to change without prior notice due to circumstances beyond our control e.g. fuel increases, government regulations, etc.
• It is important to notice that various service providers may impose special terms and conditions regarding deposits, payments, cancellation fees, and/or refunds from time to time. All reservations would be subject to these additional conditions.
• All/Any expenses passengers might incur due to circumstances beyond our control such as flight cancellation/delays, accidents of any nature, bad weather, natural calamities, medical evacuation, supplier policies, etc. It is suggested that clients take out travel insurance.  TRAVEL GROUP merely acts as a service broker and does not accept any liability.
• We strongly advise passengers to take out insurance covering cancellations, medical expenses, loss of baggage, curtailment, and default at the time of booking – please advise your clients accordingly.
• We suggest you & Guest always check the Hotel Photos & Reviews before confirming the package/hotel.
• Standard check-in Time at the Hotel is 14:00 Hrs. or 15:00 Hrs. & Check-out time is 12:00 Hrs. This may vary from hotel to hotel.
• Special requests such as Early Check-in / Late Checkout / Twin Beds / Double Beds / Interconnecting Rooms / Jain Meal / Rooms on the Same floor etc. are always subject to availability & not guaranteed.
• The Triple Room might have an Extra bed or Rollaway Bed or Mattress.
• City Taxes wherever applicable will be paid by the Guest Directly at the Time of Check-In/Check-Out.
• It’s the Travel Agent’s responsibility to check the Passport expiry date (Minimum 6-month validity) while sending the booking to us or while sending confirmation to us.
• Hotels may ask for a refundable Security Deposit at the time of check-in.
• SIC (Seat in Coach Basis): The service will be on a sharing-vehicle/basis.
• PVT (Private): The service will be by private vehicle/basis.
• Guests have to be present at the lobby (reception area) OR at the Meeting point during their pick-up time of tours/ transfer.
• SIC Tour pickup/drop off will be either from the hotel or the nearest meeting point depending on the destination.
• Majorly Europe / USA / Australia / China / Japan / Russia do not have Pick up/drop off from the hotel lobby for SIC (Seat in Coach) Tours, the Client has to reach the specific meeting point on their own.
• For SIC Tours/Transfers drivers will wait a maximum of 5-10 minutes.
• Rooms & Rates are always subject to availability at the time of final confirmation.
